Evaluation of the Implementation Of 2nd National 5 Years Development Plan 2016-2021

Abstract

This report is based on the evaluation of Tanzania's Second Five Years Development Plan (FYDP - II for 2016/2017 to 2020/2021 whose theme is "Nurturing Industrialization for Economic Transformation and Human Development" as implemented until mid - 2020 in order to start planning for the FYDP - III starting July 2021. The FYDP II aspires, among several specific objectives, to build a base for transforming Tanzania into a Semi-industrialized nation; consolidate the country's strategic geographic location as a regional production, trade and logistic hub;promote availability of requisite skills for that takes catre of the youth and disadvantage groups. The Plan,s objectives are also compliant with global and regional development frameworks such as the African Agenda 2063 and SDG 2030
