Item Budget Execution Report for Financial Year 2023- 2024 (July 2023 to June 2024)(Ministry of Finance, 2024-06) The United Republic of TanzaniaDuring the first quarter (January – March) of 2024, the real GDP (constant 2015 prices) rose to 38.7 trillion shillings from 36.7 trillion shillings recorded in the similar period in 2023, equivalent to the growth rate of 5.6 percent. In 2023/24, headline inflation averaged at 3.2 percent, lower than the 4.6 percent recorded in 2022/23. This was mainly attributed to the implementation of prudent monetary policy and adequate food supply. During the quarter ending June 2024, headline inflation maintained an average of 3.1 percent compared to 3.9 percent recorded during the corresponding quarter in 2023.Item Budget Execution Report Second Quarters for 2023- 2024 (July to December, 2023)(Ministry of Finance, 2023-12) The United Republic of TanzaniaDuring the third quarter (July – September, 2023), nominal Quarterly Gross Domestic Product (QGDP) in an absolute term (at current prices) increased to TZS 45.8 trillion from TZS trillion 40.1 recorded in the similar quarter in 2022. In 2022/23, headline inflation continued to maintain single digit averaged at 4.6 percent compared to 4.0 percent in 2021/22. Further, the second quarter real GDP 2024 (at constant 2015 prices) increased to 38,400 billion shillings from 36,400 billion shillings achieved in the corresponding period in 2023, equivalent to a growth rate of 5.3 percent compared to the 4.7 percent growth recorded in the similar period in 2023.Item The Budget Execution Report for the Second Quarter Of 2024-2025 (July to December,2024)(Ministry of Finance, 2024-03) The United Republic of TanzaniaDuring the third quarter (July – September 2024), nominal Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased to 48.8 trillion from 44.6 trillion recorded in the similar quarter in 2023. Further, the real GDP (at 2015 prices) increased to 37.5 trillion from 35.4 trillion achieved in the corresponding period in 2023. As a result, real GDP growth in the third quarter was 5.9 percent compared with 5.6 percent recorded in the corresponding quarter in 2023.
