Item Budget Execution Report for Financial Year 2023- 2024 (January to March 2024)(Ministry of Finance, 2024-04) The United Republic of TanzaniaDuring the fourth quarter (October – December) of 2023, the economy registered a real GDP growth of 4.6 percent compared to 3.6 percent in a corresponding quarter of 2022. During the same period, headline inflation remained steady at 3.0 percent compared to 4.8 percent recorded in the similar period in 2022/23. This stability is attributed to an ample domestic food supply and reduced inflation from imports, driven by moderation in global market pricesItem Budget Execution Report for Financial Year 2023- 2024 (July 2023 to June 2024)(Ministry of Finance, 2024-06) The United Republic of TanzaniaDuring the first quarter (January – March) of 2024, the real GDP (constant 2015 prices) rose to 38.7 trillion shillings from 36.7 trillion shillings recorded in the similar period in 2023, equivalent to the growth rate of 5.6 percent. In 2023/24, headline inflation averaged at 3.2 percent, lower than the 4.6 percent recorded in 2022/23. This was mainly attributed to the implementation of prudent monetary policy and adequate food supply. During the quarter ending June 2024, headline inflation maintained an average of 3.1 percent compared to 3.9 percent recorded during the corresponding quarter in 2023.Item Budget Execution Report for the Third Quarter of 2024-2025 (January – March 2025)(Ministry of Finance, 2025-04) The United Republic of TanzaniaDuring the fourth quarter of 2024, the value of Quarterly Gross Domestic Product (QGDP) in absolute term at current prices increased to 56.5 trillion shillings from 50.6 trillion shillings in the similar quarter in 2023. Further, the value of QGDP in 2015 constant prices also increased to 41.9 trillion shillings in the fourth quarter 2024 from 39.9 trillion shillings in the similar period in 2023, equivalent to a growth of 5.2 percent. During the third quarter (July – September, 2024), nominal Quarterly Gross Domestic Product (QGDP) in an absolute term (at current prices) increased to TZS 48.8 trillion from TZS trillion 44.6 recorded in the similar quarter in 2023.Item Budget Execution Report Second Quarters for 2023- 2024 (July to December, 2023)(Ministry of Finance, 2023-12) The United Republic of TanzaniaDuring the third quarter (July – September, 2023), nominal Quarterly Gross Domestic Product (QGDP) in an absolute term (at current prices) increased to TZS 45.8 trillion from TZS trillion 40.1 recorded in the similar quarter in 2022. Further, the real QGDP (at 2015 prices) increased to TZS 35.7 trillion from TZS 33.9 trillion achieved in the corresponding period in 2022.
